Who are you? Tell us a bit about yourself and your educational background.
My name is Linus Johansson and I am a 21-year-old guy from and living in Gislaved. Skiing is a big interest for me, but also computers and technology. I attended the Building and Construction program at high school but later felt that it was nothing for me. So I tried different jobs but it still didn’t feel like it was for me.
How did your journey at Axelent Engineering begin and what made you apply to work here?
In the spring of 2022, my brother told me that they were looking for a freight receiver. He explained a little about the position and I thought it sounded interesting and applied here and I like it here.
Tell us a bit about your professional role
I take care of all in and out deliveries, orders for stock items, the property, taking care of our trucks and cars, keeping the floors and pallets in order and so much more.
What do you find most inspiring about your job?
The most inspiring thing is that you get to try different things all the time. The weeks are never the same, and the tasks are very varied. It’s also a job where you get to be self-driven, which I like. I would also say that you learn something new every week, if not every day.
How would you describe Axelent as a workplace?
I haven’t been here very long yet, but I would say it’s a nice group of people where everyone talks to everyone despite the different departments. The colleagues are always there to help if you need it. Then the premises are new and we keep them clean and tidy, so the working environment is also good.
As a new employee, what are you most looking forward to?
I look forward to seeing how I will develop with this service because you do a little bit of everything and you never know what comes up that can be a little extra fun or more challenging.
