Get to know Alexander Hjelm, machine engineer and project leader
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Alexander Hjelm and I am 27 years old. I grew up in Burseryd, but right after high school I left to study mechanical engineering in Gothenburg. The year after my studies I worked as a consultant and had various assignments in the automotive industry. Then I returned to my home region.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to be active, at the moment it’s padel, badminton and walking. Otherwise it’s socializing with friends and family and preferably some excursion/travel when the opportunity arises.
What do you do at Axelent Engineering and how long have you been here?
I work as a machine designer/project manager and have worked here for 4.5 years.
What makes you enjoy your job?
We have fantastic projects, where we get to help companies into the future that is increasingly required today. This means that the projects are different with constantly new challenges and very exciting to be part of the journey that many companies make. It is extra fun to do these projects here at Axelent with the community and drive that we have.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Being involved in projects from start to finish and seeing how ideas become reality. It is always fun to see a machine we have delivered in full production.
What is the best thing about Axelent Engineering as a workplace?
It is very pleasant with lots of laughter. A well organized workplace where there are many years of experience in delivering special machines to almost all industries. This variety and experience of projects where all possible technology is used makes it an environment that is easy to develop in.
